David's Village, part of the Mamilla Development Project, has Israel born architect, Moshe Safdie to thank for it's creative design. The community complex with many terraced apartments is reminiscent of his Habitat '67 design but with old-world archways and domed roofs that fits in with the architectural history of the area. The narrow lanes, inner courtyards and bridges structures give the neighborhood an Old City feel.

This residential complex, situated directly across from the Jaffa Gate, was known for many years as the "no mans land" zone since it was the area that divided the old from the new Jerusalem. Currently the area is undergoing many changes with a new hotel and residential/commercial properties being built across from David's Village Complex.
